Music and Art Venues/Events
Crested Butte Center for the Arts
Center for the Arts Crested Butte is home to popular signature events and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor attractions. Visitors young and old enjoy a year-round schedule of live music, dance and theater performances as well as art exhibits, speakers and much more. For more than 20 years, Center for the Arts has been committed to providing arts and cultural experiences that inspire and entertain all audiences, whether they call Crested Butte home everyday or just for the weekend.
As the premier visual and performing arts venue in the region, Center for the Arts hosts events throughout the year on our outdoor stage, expansive indoor auditorium, and at the Piper Gallery, a popular in-house gallery for local and regional exhibitions. In addition to our popular signature events, including Alpenglow, Tour de Forks and Winter Season, the Center also proudly serves as a premier events venue for local community organizations. Together, we bring attractions such as film screenings and music festivals to Crested Butte.
Center for the Arts strives to enrich and engage the community by fostering artistic expression and cultural experiences in Colorado’s Upper East River Valley. Our vibrant facility, diverse programs and community outreach provide the common ground for all of our visitors to experience arts and culture in a whole new way.
Biery-Witt Center at Mt. Crested Butte
Formerly known as the Mt. Crested Butte Performing Arts Center. Hundreds of artists, performers, donors and community members believed in a dream. Now that dream is becoming a reality. In 2015, we will break ground in creating the Biery-Witt Center — a new one-of-a-kind mountain venue in the valley that will be the new home for inspirational music and theatre performances, weddings, educational experiences and so much more. We’re still believing. But, we need you too.
Crested Butte Music Festival
The Crested Butte Music Festival presents an annual festival of diverse music, opera and dance performed by outstanding artists, to inspire a greater appreciation of these art forms, and to help develop the performers of tomorrow. We envision an intimate, artistically diverse music festival anchored in a new performing arts center that draws significant audience and support from beyond our valley and is broadly recognized for its excellence.
Gunnison Arts Center
The 12,000-square-foot Gunnison Arts Center is a community arts center dedicated to exhibiting and developing visual, literary and performing artists in the Gunnison Valley. With three gallery exhibit spaces, a gallery shop, a dance studio, a 72-seat community theatre/stage, a clay center for ceramics, meeting rooms and a visual arts classroom all under one roof, there is truly something for everyone at the Gunnison Arts Center.
